Glad you were able to enjoy it. By the way, the tree is a Sycamore. They are known for their exotic shapes, and one of the few California trees to show color in the fall. You're so lucky to have been able to play here. As for the mirror on #18, if you go play Elmbrook in Traverse City, you'll see a mirror up in a tree behind the tee in order to see down the elevated #10 fairway. It's been a fair # of years since I've played there, but I'm sure the mirror is still there. I love a course with elevation changes/contours and Elmbrook has some nice ones too. Maybe not as spectactular as, say, the Boyne Hills course, but I love that modest little public course. Nice report on this great golf course. You’re so lucky to have been able to play here.
