					<description>Just discovered your review of sand piper, one of my favorites.  Glad you were able to enjoy it.  By the way, the tree is a Sycamore.  They are known for their exotic shapes, and one of the few California trees to show color in the fall.</description>

As for the mirror on #18, if you go play Elmbrook in Traverse City, you'll see a mirror up in a tree behind the tee in order to see down the elevated #10 fairway. It's been a fair # of years since I've played there, but I'm sure the mirror is still there. I love a course with elevation changes/contours and Elmbrook has some nice ones too. Maybe not as spectactular as, say, the Boyne Hills course, but I love that modest little public course.</description>
